Body: Plants solitary. Stems club shaped to cylindrical, to 18 cm (7.1 in) high, 9 - 10 cm (3.5 - 3.9 in) in diameter.
Roots:
Sap: Without latex.
Tubercule arrangement:
Tubercule: Pyramidal.
Axil: Woolly.
Radial spine: 22 - 24, glassy white, 2 - 4 mm long.
Central spine: 4 - 6, yellowish, 5 - 6 mm ( 0.2 in) long.
Flower: Red, 3 - 4 mm in diameter.
Fruit: Club shaped, pink above, whitish green below, to 15 mm 0.6 in) long.
Seed: Brown.
